DICK WALTER & DAVID B. WALTER

DRONEAGE

Drones/Atmospheres/Textures

A collection of drones, atmospheres and textures ideal for creating and accompanying a wide range of moods. These tracks use electronic and vocal effects, percussion and electric guitar. Some tracks have ethnic variations.

Dick Walter composed the first known minimalist track for a television commercial, CellNet, (later O2), in 1985, and has employed these compositional techniques in several jazz pieces as well as the chamber work, Excursions for Baritone Saxophone and String Quartet, commissioned by the Leasowes Arts Festival in 2006.

David B. Walter is a composer who started working in London’s Angel Recording Studios at the age of eighteen. He graduated to become assistant to, and music editor for A-list Hollywood composers such as Michael Kamen, Harry Gregson-Williams, Stephen Warbeck and Alexandre Desplat, on films such as Kingdom of Heaven and the final two Harry Potter films.

He is now busily writing and producing music for television and on-line productions, including two series of Police Interceptors, Frontline Police, for Channel 5, and Banger Boys for The History Channel. He is currently working with Ben Bartlett, on series four of Vera for ITV1.
