Celebrate Harry & Megan’s Big Day – with a big thank you to ITV’s Royal Wedding Coverage for featuring as the main title music “Viva Musica’ from Score 100/ Celebration by our wonderful SCORE Composer Dave Hewson!

Dave Hewson began composing at the age of 11. His early efforts were very influenced by the fact that his primary school music education was based entirely on the Carl Orff “Schulwerk”. This influence has stayed with David  and has shaped a lot of his much later music. In his late teens he studied composition with Professor Richard Arnell (pupil of John Ireland) at Trinity College of music London, and enrolled in a part time course on electronic music with Tristram Carey at the Royal College of Music. After gaining his B.Ed (Hon.) he taught music for six years.

Dave Hewson was a key contributor to the musical output of the in Techno Twins the 1980s, writing and creating most of their material for several albums. He performed on many of their other recordings and was integral in the creation of the only hit they had “Falling in Love Again” He invented their unique sound concept, and arrangements, all created in his 4 track studio in south London.

As a media composer he has written music for film and TV, including incidental music for BBC TV’s “Howards Way”, arranging and producing the “Eastenders” theme and Record, and the Channel Four documentaries The Morey Brothers, Heaven Man Earth , Six Into One,  and The MTM  Story. Recent work has included the new ITV National and regional news for ITV, and NEWS AT TEN, The Scars of War for Channel 4, and Police Action Live for ITV. TV themes include The Selina Scot Show, and David Frost’s Century. Also a recently commissioned series starring Prunella Scales as Queen Victoria for the BBC.
